Job summary

Boston Medical Center South in Brockton, MA seeks a board-certified (or board-eligible) Primary Care Physician in Internal Medicine to deliver continuous ambulatory care in a multidisciplinary team setting. You will provide preventive, acute, and chronic care, participate in quality improvement, and may mentor residents or students as needed.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Internal Medicine.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to working as part of interprofessional teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered primary care including preventive services, health maintenance, acute illness, and chronic disease management.
• Conduct comprehensive health assessments, ordering, interpreting, and acting on labs, imaging, diagnostic studies.
• Coordinate care with specialists, ancillary services, behavioral health, social services, and community resources.
• Maintain accurate, timely medical records using the electronic health record system.
• Participate in population health management: outreach, registries, care gap closures, care management.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives, metrics tracking, and performance goals.
• Contribute to clinic operations, scheduling, patient panel management, and clinic flow efficiency.
• Provide culturally competent care to diverse patient populations, including underserved and low-income communities.
• Potentially supervise, mentor, teach residents, medical students, or other learners.
