Job summary

LocumTenens.com is seeking an Internal Medicine physician for a 3-month assignment at a New Jersey correctional outpatient facility. You will perform outpatient primary care for adult inmates during day shifts, evaluating patients and managing acute and chronic conditions.

Expect to see 15-20 patients daily, with 2nd-call coverage on a week-long rotation from Sunday night to Sunday day, covering all locations every two months; prescriptive authority is required and collaboration with NPs and

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree and medical license in the relevant state.
• Board certification in Internal Medicine is required.
• Experience in outpatient primary care and correctional settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient primary care to adult inmates during day shifts.
• Evaluate patients and manage acute and chronic conditions.
• See 15-20 patients per day and collaborate with NPs and nursing staff.
