Qualifications

• Must hold a MA nursing license and current RN status.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; infusion experience preferred.
• Proficient peripheral IV placement skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and team-focused professionalism.
• Bilingual skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and obtain vital signs.
• Establish IV access per policy.
• Prepare and document infusions per order from the physician.
• Monitor for infusion reactions; notify physicians as needed.
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatments and side effects.
• Maintain infection control and cleanliness of the infusion suite.
• Send follow-up to ordering physicians regarding patient status.
• Assist with medication inventory and supplies.
• Schedule patients for follow-up appointments.
