Job summary

The Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) seeks a licensed pharmacist to provide distributive and clinical pharmacy services across inpatient and outpatient settings. You will collaborate with nursing and medical staff to ensure safe, timely dispensing and optimal drug use for MUHA patients.

A Doctor of Pharmacy or a Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy is required, with SC licensure. A Pharmacy residency is preferred, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy or a Bachelor's degree in pharmacy.
• Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Pharmacy residency completion preferred.

Responsibilities

• Compounds and dispenses prescribed drugs in a hospital/healthcare setting.
• Consults with medical staff about drug interactions and patient history.
• Responds to patient questions about medications and dosage.
• Maintains pharmacy data and complies with regulatory and hospital procedures.
