Job summary

Canyon Ridge Hospital in California seeks a compassionate Group Therapist to join our behavioral health team. You will conduct group process and didactic psychotherapy, lead family meetings, and coordinate with treatment staff to support patients and their families.

This role offers opportunities to participate in psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, and addiction-related groups, with a focus on individualized care and quality treatment delivery within our 157-bed psychiatric facility.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Family and Marriage Therapy, Social Work, or equivalent in mental health.
• BBS registration highly preferred.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in California.

Responsibilities

• Provide group process and/or didactic psychotherapy.
• Lead family meetings and educational groups.
• Assist with psychosocial assessments and treatment planning when needed.

Canyon Ridge Hospital is currently seeking a compassionate and talented Group Therapist to join our team.

Canyon Ridge Hospital has serviced the Greater Inland Empire since 1989. Canyon Ridge is a 157-bed acute, locked psychiatric facility offering services to adolescents ages 13-17, adults and older adults.

We believe in an individualized, patient-focused approach to diagnosis and treatment. For some, anxiety or drug dependence looks different from others with the same diagnoses, and in some cases, behavioral health and substance use disorders occur simultaneously. In these cases of dual diagnosis, we treat the patients in the best way possible given their specific needs.

POSITION SUMMARY

Provides group process and/or didactic psychotherapy, family meetings, chemical dependency educational groups, on occasion activities and social skills groups. At times, individual interventions for alternative active treatment while ensuring deliverance of quality treatment to psychiatric patients and their families. Group Therapist may also assist with psychosocial assessments, family contact and treatment planning documentation when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree in Family and Marriage Therapy, Social Work or equivalent master’s degree in a recognized mental health field


• Group therapists shall meet competency requirements for the Group for which they provide facilitation;


• Highly preferred BBS registration.
