Job summary

The Brook – KMI, part of Universal Health Services, seeks a Clinical Therapist to join the Outpatient Team in Louisville, KY. This in-person role focuses on adolescent and adult groups, providing psycho-social assessments and family/group therapy with thorough documentation and case coordination.

Qualified candidates hold a Master’s in Behavioral Sciences and Kentucky licensure (or supervision) with 1–3 years of experience preferred. Strong collaboration with multidisciplinary staff is essential.

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s Degree in Behavioral Sciences required.
• Licensure/ Certification: Must be licensed or under supervision in Kentucky (CSW/LCSW CADC/LCADC, MFTA, LMFT, LPCA, LPCC, LPA, LPP).
• Experience: Preferred: One to three years experience.

• The Clinical Therapist will be part of the Outpatient Team, performing psycho-social assessments, conducting family/group therapy, and documenting per policy.
• Coordinate discharge planning and community resource information; assist with program marketing and environment safety.
• Participate in continuing education activities to maintain clinical skills.

Job Description

The Brook – KMI is a 98-bed hospital offering a full continuum of inpatient, extended care, residential, partial hospitalization and outpatient services for adolescents, adults and seniors.

Our specialized treatment services are provided by a multidisciplinary team of highly trained psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, addiction counselors, nurses, pastoral counselors and activity therapists.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

The Clinical Therapist is a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team who will be a part of our Outpatient Team. Major job functions include: obtaining psycho-social assessments; conducting family/group therapy on assigned cases; complete documentation per hospital policy and procedure; case coordination; coordinate discharge planning; assist in developing and maintaining community resource information; performs marketing functions as assigned; assists in the maintenance of the program environment in compliance with policies of safety and security; ensures good clinical judgment to ensure optimum patient care; participate in continuing education activities.
