Job summary

Capital Medical Group is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join the Primary Care team. You will work with physicians to provide comprehensive care for patients with common outpatient conditions, including patient assessments and follow-up visits in the outpatient clinic.

The NP will practice under licensing regulations with department credentialing, and may precept students. Competitive compensation with bonuses, flexible scheduling, and a robust benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years outpatient Family Medicine experience.
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Master's Program (Master's degree or higher).
• Current District of Columbia Board of Nursing RN and NP license.
• Board certified as a Nurse Practitioner by AANP or ANCC.
• Current BLS required to start.
• Current DEA registration required to start.

Responsibilities

• Using medical decision-making to determine patient care plans.
• Collaborates with medical team for team-based care.
• Order and interpret lab studies and diagnostic procedures; explain procedures to patient.
• Perform procedural skills per department guidelines.
• Precept students or medical learners where possible.
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work.
