Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks a Dietitian to direct and provide nutrition care to patients, from assessment through monitoring, and to educate patients and staff on nutrition.

The role requires performing individualized patient assessments, developing and documenting care plans, and creating tools to improve nutrition services for patients, staff, and community, while ensuring compliance with practice guidelines and HIPAA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics or Nutrition.
• Master’s Degree preferred.
• Experience within specialty practice.
• RDN or RD eligibility and must obtain either within six months of hire.
• LDN eligibility and must obtain within nine months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs individualized patient assessments and reassessments.
• Develops, documents, and monitors the nutritional plan of care for the population served according to individualized assessment and professional standards.
• Provides education and/or educational programs for patients and staff.
• Performs documentation and completes reports according to procedures and established practice within guidelines.
• Develops, implements, and monitors tools necessary to maintain and improve nutrition care provided to patients, staff and community.
• Performs all other duties as assigned or required.
