Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of formal coding program.
• AHIMA or AAPC coding certification required.
• 1–2 years experience in outpatient coding or billing.
• Ability to read and understand outpatient clinic documentation.
• Maintain quality and productivity standards.

Responsibilities

• Enter coded information into 3M 360 Finder and review APCs.
• Follow NCCI edits and medical necessity requirements.
• Resolve accounts on the claims edit database.
• Assign codes to clinic visits with proper supporting documentation.
• Maintain accuracy and productivity targets.
