Job summary

Semmes Murphey Clinic in Arlington, TN seeks a full-time Medical Assistant with a Tennessee LXMO certification to support physicians and nurses in examinations and treatments. You will perform limited diagnostic X-ray imaging, injections, and routine lab tests while maintaining patient comfort and safety. Monday to Friday schedule, weekends/holidays off.

Required CMA designation, LXMO certification, completion of Medical Assistant program, and BLS. Outpatient setting experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of Medical Assistant Program.
• Current CMA designation.
• Active Tennessee Limited X-Ray Machine Operator Certification (LXMO).
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare rooms, equipment and supplies for examination; sterilize instruments.
• Interview patients; measure vitals and record data in EMR.
• Perform diagnostic X-ray imaging under LXMO certification.
• Prepare and position patients for radiographic imaging.
• Perform wound care and staple/suture removal using aseptic technique.
• Administer injections or treatments and perform routine lab tests.
• Maintain patient comfort and safety; provide compassionate care.
