Job summary

Chestnut Health Systems seeks an integrated outpatient clinician in Granite City, IL to serve clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use needs. You will apply trauma-informed, recovery-based approaches and link clients to community resources.

Applicants must have a Master’s degree with at least 1,000 hours of supervised experience and be willing to pursue CRA certification within 3 months. The role offers a $2,500 sign-on bonus and NHSC loan repayment eligibility.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field with 1,000 hours of supervised mental health experience.
• Willingness to be trained in the Community Reinforcement Approach (CRA) and achieve CRA certification within 3 months following training.
• Basic computer skills and experience using MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and an electronic medical record.

Responsibilities

• Help consumers to regain control over their lives through self-directed recovery.
• Promote the recovery model of treatment including trauma-informed care, hope, respect, empowerment, health/wellness, and spirituality/connectedness.
• Use evidence-based practices focusing on individual, family, and group therapy.
• Link clients to community resources including DCFS, probation/parole, courts, medical care, and natural supports.
• Promote positive interactions within Chestnut and with the community to sustain a favorable program reputation.

Overview

The region’s leading provider of integrated behavioral and primary health care is seeking an integrated outpatient clinician to work with our clients for co-occurring (Mental Health & Substance Use) services in Granite City, IL.

Chestnut Health Systems is a leading provider of integrated health care services. We provide fully integrated care for all our patients by combining behavioral health care services with our community-based primary care health centers. This role is eligible for a $2,500 sign-on bonus with a Master's Degree in counseling, psychology, social work or related field with at least 1,000 hours of supervised mental health experience.

This role is Student Loan Repayment Eligible.

National Health Service Corp (NHSC) LOAN REPAYMENT PROGRAM - The NHSC LRP offers up to $100,000 for providers working in Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) in Illinois.

The anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $44,400 - $50,575 annual salary. There are several factors taken into consideration in determining base pay, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, skills, education, experience, local market conditions, and internal equity.
