Job summary

Baptist Health Care in Pensacola, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiology Electrophysiology Outpatient clinic to provide patient education and skilled nursing care based on illness and treatment plans.

You will perform assessments, administer prescribed medications, operate stress and cardiac monitors, document care, and support physicians during procedures while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Current Florida RN license or eligibility (compact state).
• Valid BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Experience in cardiology or outpatient settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care to patients and documents care.
• Performs check-in duties, assists physicians during exams and procedures.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments per nursing techniques.
• Observes patient responses and notifies supervisors or physicians as needed.
• Obtains vital signs and collects samples for testing when applicable.
• Interprets basic cardiac rhythms and responds appropriately.
• Maintains accurate nursing documentation for care coordination.
• Operates clinical equipment such as stress tests, ECG machines, monitors, and IV pumps.
• Responds to patient calls and requests in a timely manner.
• Supervises Medical Assistants per organizational policies and laws.
