Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Billing Coordinator / Coder to coordinate daily billing operations across the hospital outpatient service. This role requires accurate data abstraction following ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and CMS directives within the centralized system.

Responsibilities include EMR data entry, physician queries when needed, and ensuring coding quality and productivity per HMH standards. Education includes a high school diploma and coding experience, with AHIMA/AAPC

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of coding for professional services.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day billing operations for department and hospital outpatient billing service.
• Abstract data following ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS guidelines and CMS directives.
• Enter required patient information into the EMR system.
• Query physicians when appropriate.
