Job summary

Valley-Wide Health Systems is seeking an Outpatient Behavioral Health Provider to deliver counseling and collaborative, patient-centered services in a team setting in Alamosa, CO. You will assess, treat, and coordinate care using evidence-based approaches within an integrated care model.

Requirements include a Master’s or Doctoral degree in psychology, counseling, or clinical social work, Colorado licensure or ability to obtain, and experience with DSM-5/ICD-10 standards.

Qualifications

• CAS or master's/doctoral degree in psychology, counseling, or clinical social work.
• Colorado licensure as Behavioral Health Provider or ability to obtain.
• Licensed Addiction Counselor or MA-level clinician with CAS preferred.
• Two years of clinical experience preferred.
• Knowledge of behavioral health assessments, psychotherapy, crisis evaluation, and intervention.
• Familiarity with DSM-5 / ICD-10 diagnostic standards.
• Experience providing cognitive and behavioral interventions to individuals, families, couples, and groups.
• Strong interpersonal skills with high emotional intelligence.
• Proficiency with electronic health records and basic computer applications.
• Ability to collaborate across systems and build effective working relationships.
• Valid Colorado driver's license with ability to travel.
• Ability to pass a Behavioral Health background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient behavioral health services for individuals, families, couples, substances use, and groups.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments and determine levels of care.
• Assess and respond to crises with appropriate clinical interventions.
• Develop biopsychosocial treatment plans with patients and families.
• Deliver evidence-based psychotherapy aligned with organizational standards.
• Maintain timely documentation in the electronic health record.
• Support patient stability and recovery through care planning.
• Coordinate care and referrals with internal departments and partners.
• Connect patients to social determinants resources and community services.
• Participate in team meetings supporting Valley-Wide's integrated care model.
• Build relationships with community providers and stakeholders.
