Job summary

FOUR OAKS FAMILY AND CHILDRENS SERVICES is seeking an experienced Outpatient and School-Based Therapist (Elementary) in Des Moines, IA. This hybrid, position serves JCSD elementary schools, providing therapy in outpatient and school settings.

Requires a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy and eligible LMSW/LISW/LMHC licenses. Four Oaks offers competitive wages, benefits, and growth opportunities in a supportive nonprofit environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy.
• Eligible licenses include LMSW, LISW, LMHC, tLMHC, LMFT or tLMFT.
• Four Oaks will provide supervision toward full advanced licensure.

Responsibilities

• Complete clinical assessments, treatment plans, and provide individual, family, and/or group therapy.
• Utilize assessments to determine mental or behavioral health needs and make referrals needed deemed appropriate to improve client outcomes.
• Interface with family members, school personnel, medical and psychiatric contacts, referring workers, and assure best outcomes for clients.
• If providing school-based services, collaborate and communicate with school personnel regarding referrals and active clients.
• Obtain additional training to advance practice.
• Attend case consultation group with colleagues for professional growth.
• Receive regular supervision, agency support, and policies and procedures to support practice.
• Supervision hours toward full licensure are available, if needed.

Job Overview

This is a hybrid position where both Outpatient and School-Based therapy will be provided. Four Oaks partners with the Johnston Community School District to provide services directly within the schools. This posting is to serve JCSD elementary schools.
