Job summary

YSS in Eldora is seeking an Outpatient Addictions Coordinator to lead our substance use treatment services at the State Training School (STS). You will supervise counselors, provide direct counseling, and oversee day-to-day operations for youth-focused addiction treatment.

You will manage assessments, treatment planning, and program reporting while collaborating with STS staff to meet contractual expectations and ensure high-quality care for adolescents and young adults.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human services or a related field.
  • CADC credential through the Iowa Board of Certification.
  • Five years of experience in the addictions field.
  • Three years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience with adolescents involved in the juvenile justice system preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of YSS’s outpatient substance use treatment program at STS.
  • Provide supervision, consultation, training, and support to Outpatient Addictions Counselors.
  • Provide individual and intensive outpatient group counseling, skill development, and crisis intervention.
  • Complete assessments and develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Monitor client progress and provide regular updates to STS staff.
  • Ensure clinical documentation is accurate, timely, and compliant with standards.
  • Coordinate admissions into substance use programming and connect youth with aftercare resources.
  • Complete required monthly and quarterly program reporting.
  • Partner with YSS and State Training School staff to meet program and contractual expectations.
  • Create an environment of respect, cooperation, confidentiality, accountability, and trust.

Make a Difference with Youth Who Need Someone in Their CornerYSS is seeking an Outpatient Addictions Coordinator to lead our substance use treatment services at the State Training School (STS) in Eldora.This is a unique opportunity for an experienced addictions professional who enjoys both working directly with youth and leading a team.
