Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s seek a Receiving Team Member to drive sales through efficient inbound and outbound receipt processing and top-tier stockroom standards. You will offload, sort, unpack, and prep new receipts, ensuring items are ready for floor placement and ticketing.

This role requires the ability to read instructions, operate computers and handheld devices, and work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong interpersonal skills with diverse customers and peers.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions.
• Frequent use of computers and handheld devices.
• Able to work a flexible retail schedule including days, evenings, weekends, holidays.

Responsabilités

• Assist in receipt and dispatch of merchandise per standards.
• Process merchandise to be floor-ready, tagged, and ticketed.
• Execute price changes, handling damages or salvages, and job outs.
• Receive and record trailer deliveries.
• Maximize stockroom space and maintain organization and efficiency.
• Maintain a clean, safe receiving and stockroom area.
• Protect company assets per procedures including merchandise protection and risk management.
• Support Selling Team to deliver a positive customer experience.

Job Overview

The Receiving Team Member’s (RTM) primary objective is to drive sales and profit through efficient inbound/outbound receipt processing and excellent stockroom standards. This includes offloading, sorting, unpacking and prepping new receipts.

Essential Functions

• Support and administer receipt and dispatch of merchandise and supplies according to company standards.
• Process merchandise ensuring items are floor ready, tagged, and ticketed
• Complete price changes, damages/salvages, job outs
• Receive and record trailer delivery
• Maximize stockroom space and maintain the highest level of organization and efficiency
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe receiving and stockroom space
• Protect Company assets, adhering to all operational procedures including, Access Control, Merchandise Protection, Risk Management, Receiving & Processing and Fine Jewelry
• Support Selling Team members when needed by providing a positive customer experience

Qualifications and Competencies

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate and share information with diverse groups of customers and peers
• Ability to read and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
• Frequent use of computers - Able to use and navigate multiple technological devices
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays

Physical Requirements

• Position requires prolonged periods of standing/walking around store or department
• May involve reaching, crouching, kneeling, stooping, color vision and climbing ladders
• Frequent use of computers and other technology necessary to perform job duties, including handheld electronic equipment.
• Frequently lift/move up to 50lbs
