Job summary

Sportsman’s Warehouse in Crescent Springs, KY, is seeking an Outfitters—Part-time—to deliver an exceptional in-store experience. You’ll greet customers, share product knowledge, assist with purchases, and help maintain a clean, organized sales floor.

You will work with fellow Outfitters and leadership to meet sales, service, and inventory goals, with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and a welcoming environment for all customers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting customers, identifying their needs, providing product recommendations, and creating a welcoming shopping experience.
• Demonstrate product knowledge across multiple departments to assist customers with merchandise selection and answer questions accurately.
• Process customer purchases, returns, exchanges, and other transactions accurately while following company policies and cash handling procedures.
• Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, facing product, rotating merchandise, building displays, installing signage, and ensuring the sales floor is clean, organized, and visually appealing.
• Receive, unload, verify, and process incoming freight while ensuring inventory accuracy and timely replenishment of merchandise.
• Assist with backroom organization, inventory management, cycle counts, price changes, and maintaining accurate stock levels.
• Operate material handling equipment and safely move merchandise throughout the store in accordance with company safety policies.
• Maintain department cleanliness and ensure aisles, displays, and work areas remain safe and free of hazards.
• Support seasonal merchandise transitions, promotional events, store resets, and special projects as assigned.
• Collaborate with fellow Outfitters and leadership to meet sales, customer service, operational, and inventory goals.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, loss prevention standards, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance, work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Ability tofrequentlybend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, twist, and climb ladders or step stools.
• Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull merchandise weighing up to50 pounds, and occasionally more withassistanceorappropriate equipment.
• Ability to use hands and fingers for handling merchandise,operatinga cash register, pricing merchandise, and other routine tasks.
• Ability to safelyoperatepallet jacks, carts, and other material handling equipment, as trained.
• Required to use company-issued walkie-talkies and other approved on-site communication methods while on duty.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment, including indoor and outdoor conditions during merchandise loading, unloading, and customer carry-outs.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and leadership in person and by telephone.
• Ability to visually inspect merchandise, read labels,operateequipment, andidentifypotential safety hazards.
