Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking a Yard Associate to assist contractors and DIYers with selecting and loading orders, while pulling and staging materials for pickup or delivery. You will help maintain the yard inventory with cycle counts and keep the area organized and clean.

This full-time role requires a friendly, team-oriented attitude and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Forklift experience is a plus, with training provided if needed.

• Customer service experience is required.
• Friendly personality is important for teamwork.
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful.
• Must be able to work as part of a team.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist contractors and do-it-yourselfers with selection and loading of orders.
• Pull and stage materials for pickup and/or delivery.
• Maintain yard inventory with cycle counts.
• Keep the Yard organized and clean.
• Operate a forklift or receive training to operate one.
