Job summary

Vannguard Utility Partners Inc. is seeking an Underground Utility Locator to work outdoors across multiple Nebraska locations. Responsibilities include driving from home to sites, locating underground utilities using maps and equipment, and marking locations for excavation crews.

This role requires safety focus, attention to detail, and reliable communication with supervisors. Position offers paid training, company vehicle, and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent (Required).
• Valid driver's license in applicable state of employment (Required).
• Must be able to work overtime when duties cannot be performed within a normal work schedule.
• Will be subject to Vannguard's Drug-Free Workplace Program, and complete a pre-employment drug screening.
• Able to self-manage and communicate with supervisors and clients in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Drive a company vehicle from home to job sites in response to tickets, emergencies, and relocations.
• Utilizes mapping tools and locating equipment to locate underground utilities (electric, gas, telephone lines).
• Indicates utility locations with paint/flags and communicates information to excavation personnel or authorities.
• Responds to after-hours emergency call-outs per rotation schedule.
