Job summary

Country Arbors Nursery in Urbana, IL is seeking a dependable Part-Time Tree & Shrub Sales Associate for the seasonal period. This role focuses on helping customers select trees, shrubs, evergreens and landscape materials while applying plant knowledge and friendly service.

Prior landscaping experience is preferred and training is provided. You will work weekends, lift and load plants, and assist with daily nursery operations outdoors in varying weather.

Qualifications

• Plant knowledge or landscaping experience is required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to lift and move heavy plants and materials; outdoor work in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with selecting trees, shrubs, and evergreens
• Provide guidance on plant care and landscape planning
• Help customers with flagstone, cobbles, and related materials
• Load and unload trucks and semi deliveries
• Lift and load plants for customers
• Water and maintain plant inventory
• Clean and organize tree and shrub lots
• Support daily nursery operations as needed
