Job summary

Savannah-Chatham County Public School System at Oatland Island Wildlife Center in Savannah, Georgia seeks a SY 26-27 Science Teacher to deliver outdoor science, STEM/STEAM, and environmental education to students across grade levels through experiential learning.

The role reports to the Director, requires a Bachelor's Degree in a related field, a Georgia teaching certificate or eligibility, and at least three years of science teaching experience; 190 work days per year with the salary scale

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in related field.
• Valid Georgia Teaching Certificate or eligibility for Georgia certification.
• Three years of teaching experience in Science education.

Responsibilities

• Teach standards-aligned outdoor science, STEM/STEAM, and environmental education.
• Plan and facilitate science and STEM learning experiences with hands-on activities.
• Differentiate instruction for K-12 students and integrate cross-content strategies.
• Maintain inventory and procure instructional materials and supplies.
• Collaborate with staff and community partners to support programming.
