This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: Homewood Mountain & Lake Club, set on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe in Homewood, California. Homewood is seeking an Outdoor Pursuits Coordinator to join the Outdoor Pursuits Department.The Outdoor Pursuits Coordinator is a winter-seasonal role responsible for coordinating Homewood's on-mountain and backcountry Outdoor Pursuits operations, including Guide, Attendant, and Coach scheduling, bookings and reservations, and the day-to-day administration that keeps winter programming running seamlessly. The Outdoor Pursuits Coordinator acts as the primary link between the winter team and department leadership, translating day-to-day execution into consistent, elevated experiences for members throughout the season.This role requires a proactive, organized coordinator who is equally comfortable managing bookings and reservations, greeting members at the trailhead or lift line, and supporting the administrative rhythm of the department across a full winter season. This includes scheduling, reporting, and procurement. The ideal candidate leads by example, holds the team accountable to Homewood's service and safety standards, and communicates clearly across departments.Working closely with the Director of Club Operations and reporting to the Outdoor Pursuits Director/Supervisor, and working alongside department leaders, this position ensures the Outdoor Pursuits winter team is well organized and consistently delivering on Homewood's promise of exceptional service throughout the season.**Key Responsibilities*** **Winter Operations & Administration** + Perform daily department activations and administration across winter Outdoor Pursuits programming, including ski, snowboard, backcountry and all other winter OP activities. + Partner with the Member Services team to complete bookings and reservations in the OP Bookings system for lessons, tours, and guided trips. + Input Guide, Attendant, and Coach schedules into booking and payroll systems, ensuring adequate winter coverage across all activities. + Support purchase orders and procurement with guidance from the Outdoor Pursuits Director/Supervisor and Director of Club Operations. + Track winter equipment and asset inventory, assisting with ordering and procurement of skis, snowboards, snowshoes, avalanche safety equipment, and other winter gear.* **Guide & Team Coordination** + Coordinate daily Guide, Attendant, and Coach assignments across ski, snowboard, snowshoe, and cat and UTV tour programming. + Coordinate the AIARE avalanche education program calendar, working with the program lead and Outdoor Pursuits Director/Supervisor on scheduling, enrollment, and logistics. + Track Guide certifications, including PSIA-AASI and AIARE credentials, and flag renewals or gaps to the Outdoor Pursuits Director/Supervisor. + Build and maintain SOPs, trip checklists, and safety protocols for winter activity lines, ensuring consistent execution across the team.* **Member & Guest Experience** + Greet members and prospects on arrival to Outdoor Pursuits areas, including the trailhead, lift line, and cat and UTV staging areas, introducing them to Guides, Attendants, and Coaches. + Facilitate impeccable member and guest service across all winter programming. + Respond to emails and member requests in a timely manner.* **Daily Duties & Reporting** + Keep Outdoor Pursuits winter areas tidy and presentable, including gear rooms, staging areas, and equipment storage. + Take, organize, and confirm bookings and schedules for the winter season. + Create the daily activities report and send it to management, including snow and terrain conditions relevant to programming. + Write and distribute the daily task list to Outdoor Pursuits staff. + Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly checks are completed on winter equipment and across Outdoor Pursuits areas.* **Cross-Department Coordination** + Coordinate with the Homewood Facilities Team on equipment storage, trail and terrain maintenance escalations, and vendor scheduling. + Partner with Member Services on activity reservations, member events, and prospect visits and skier concierge services. + Communicate service gaps, safety concerns, and improvement opportunities to department leadership in a timely manner. + Other duties as assigned.**Skills & Qualifications:*** Previous experience in the service and hospitality industry.* Previous experience in a winter resort or mountain operations environment preferred.* Strong math, accounting, and critical reasoning skills.* Clear communication skills, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.* Creative problem-solving skills.* Strong interpersonal skills; able to maintain constructive working relationships and interact with others professionally.* Flexible and efficient time management skills.* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with many moving parts.* Valid driver's license in good standing.**Additional Requirements*** Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.* Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
