Apple Playschools seeks an Apprentice Teacher in Ann Arbor to deliver mission-aligned early childhood education in an assigned classroom, under the guidance of the Lead/Mentor Teacher. The role focuses on play-based, outdoor and language-enriched learning experiences to support a progressive early-education program.

The position offers on-the-job training, a flexible schedule, retirement matching, health benefits, 4+ weeks of PTO, and tuition support for staff and families.

Qualifications

• Be age 18 or older.
• Eligible to work in the United States of America.
• Be able to work a minimum of 25 hours per week.
• Be able to pass all required background checks and criminal history review.
• Meet LARA licensing education requirements appropriate to the assigned role.
• Be able to be "on your feet" for most of the day.
• Hold, carry, or lift up to 25 pounds.
• Work outside in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, mission-aligned early childhood education in an assigned classroom.
• Collaborate with the Lead/Mentor Teacher of that class.
• Design learning activities and create unforgettable experiences.
• Ensure the safety of participants and report concerns per licensing guidelines.
• Engage in peer learning through reflection, feedback, and modeling.
• Foster strong partnerships with students, parents, and community members.
