Job summary

Bartlett Tree Experts is seeking entry-level Plant Health Care Specialists who will monitor, evaluate, and address the plant health needs of trees and shrubs on commercial and residential properties. You will receive hands-on training and work as part of a team under experienced arborists to learn integrated pest management, applications, and client communication.

The role emphasizes safety, ongoing training, and opportunities for advancement, with Bartlett supporting licensing and credentials

Qualifications

• Degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Plant Science, Landscape Management, Environmental Science or related field, or equivalent tree-care experience.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to obtain Commercial Pesticide Applicator License; Bartlett will cover exam costs.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and to work outdoors year-round.

Responsibilities

• Learn to perform all functions of integrated pest management programs for trees and shrubs.
• Perform tree/shrub care treatments using spray, tree injection, and soil injection as prescribed.
• Communicate with clients about work performed during site visits.
• Mix and apply pesticides and fertilizers safely and according to labels and state laws.
• Maintain and operate equipment and vehicles used in the field.
• Complete accurate daily record-keeping and reporting.
• Safely drive a company vehicle to multiple properties.
• Work as part of a tree care crew under supervision.
