Job summary

Ferguson is seeking a Warehouse Pipe Yard Associate at our Waterworks location in Indianapolis, IN. The role mixes warehouse duties with outdoor pipe yard work, and most products are outdoors and subject to weather. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM with some overtime.

You will safely operate forklifts to pull and prepare outbound orders, build pallets, receive and store inventory, and adhere to PPE and safety regulations. Prior warehouse and forklift experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• A background in warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, delivery, and inventory is preferred.
• Comfortable in a fast paced, changing environment.
• General computer skills for basic data entry.
• Forklift Operator experience is strongly preferred.
• Ability to carry objects up to 50 lbs by hand and 50 lbs or more using equipment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate stand-up forklift and sit-down forklift to pull and prepare outbound orders.
• Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and large piping.
• Work outdoors year-round in a pipeyard, in all weather conditions.
• Receive, verify, stage and stock incoming material.
• Store inventory and comply with PPE and safety regulations.
