Job summary

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, State Parks, Forests and Historic Sites, invites applicants to a two-year apprenticeship. You will learn to perform unskilled or semiskilled tasks related to construction, maintenance, repairs and improvements of park facilities and grounds, under supervision, on-site within the Natural and Historic Program area.

The role covers custodial services for patron health and safety, repairs, snow removal, painting, carpentry, and grounds

Qualifications

• Two-year apprenticeship under supervision in state parks.
• Custodial and maintenance duties across park facilities.
• Experience with manual and power tools and equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Custodial services for patron health and safety.
• Major/minor repairs and grounds maintenance.
• Snow removal, painting, carpentry and facility upkeep.
• Operate CBT projects and vehicle/equipment maintenance.
