Lincoln Creek Lumber in Centralia, WA is hiring a yard associate who thrives around people and stays busy. You’ll be outside, on your feet, helping customers and loading lumber for their vehicles.

This physical, fast-moving role requires you to stay safety-conscious, stock yard locations, and assist customers with product questions. A Spanish-speaking ability is a plus and you will participate in monthly store meetings.

Qualifications

• Outgoing, energetic personality with strong customer service instincts.
• Clear, friendly communication with customers, teammates, and management.
• Reliable and punctual; crew counts on you.
• Organized and detail-oriented, especially with loads and returns.
• Bilingual in Spanish is strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and guide them to what they need.
• Help customers plan projects and answer questions (or find someone who can).
• Load lumber and materials into customer vehicles and verify against invoices.
• Inspect returns and create accurate return slips for cashiers.
• Handle customer concerns with empathy and resolve what you can.
• Unload deliveries and stock products in yard locations.
• Operate a forklift and fill propane tanks.
• Keep the yard clean, organized, and safe.
• Stay current on monthly ads and direct customers to deals.
• Communicate via radio and coordinate with the team.
• Follow safety procedures and suggest improvements.
• Mentor new hires and attend monthly store meetings.
