Job summary

A utility locating company in Belleville is hiring entry-level Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities and promote damage prevention in the community. Candidates will enjoy 100% paid training, a pay rate of $21 per hour, and various benefits including a 401(k) plan with company match, PTO, and unique perks. Responsibilities include using locate equipment, reading maps, and communicating effectively. Candidates must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver license and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Eighteen years of age or older.
• Valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
• Pass pre-employment background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Use provided locate equipment & technology to accurately locate underground utilities.
• Communicate effectively with peers, managers, and homeowners.
• Read maps, interpret blueprints, and determine the best method for locating.

Skills

Ability to walk up to 5 miles a day

Ability to carry up to 5 lbs of electronic locating equipment
