Job summary

Erdmann Outdoor Living in Arlington Heights, IL, is seeking a licensed Architect to produce permit-ready and construction drawings for outdoor living projects. You will perform on-site measurements, develop elevations and details, stamp plans, and collaborate with permitting officials to ensure code compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor's (Master's preferred) in architecture, 3+ years of licensed experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp, plus MS365.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field; Master's preferred.
• Licensed Architect with stamping ability (3+ years).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; SketchUp preferred.
• MS365 knowledge (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Solid understanding of Illinois building codes and permitting.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site measurements of existing project conditions.
• Produce permit-ready and construction-ready drawings.
• Develop elevations, details, and technical documents for build teams.
• Revise plans as necessary for permitting and approvals.
• Stay current with Illinois building codes and local permitting requirements.
• Stamp plans and collaborate with permitting officials as needed.
• Work closely with carpenters and internal teams to ensure accurate build documentation.
