Job summary

City of Winter Haven is seeking a Landscape Spray Technician to perform chemical applications on turf and ornamental landscapes across city facilities. The role involves operating and maintaining landscape and irrigation equipment, and keeping accurate records of all activities.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, with pesticide licenses as required. A valid Florida driver’s license and a good driving record are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of operating and maintaining turf/landscape equipment; hazards of chemicals and safety precautions.
• Working knowledge of chemical applications for turf/ornamentals and proper calibration methods.
• Experience with equipment calibration and maintaining records.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical applications to turf and ornamentals following procedures.
• Operate and maintain landscape equipment and irrigation systems on City facilities.
• Keep written records of inspections, chemical applications, and maintenance activities.
