Roosevelt School District 66 in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Groundskeeper to join the maintenance team to provide safe and well-maintained school grounds and reliable outdoor upkeep.

The role operates lawn equipment, plants and trims lawns, maintains sidewalks and parking areas, and repairs outdoor infrastructure. Must lift 50 lbs, push/pull 75 lbs, and read English. This twelve-month, classified hourly position offers benefits per board policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred but not required.
• Groundskeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and push/pull 75 lbs.

Responsabilités

• Operate lawn equipment including riding mowers, tractors, blowers, and gas powered chain saw.
• Plant, cut, edge, and fertilize lawns.
• Clean walks and adjacent parking lots and ball courts after mowing.
• Plant, cut, and trim trees and shrubs.
• Haul grass clippings, tree and shrub trimmings, and other rubbish from school properties.
• Haul lawn supplies, sand, and gravel.
• Repair fences and other items on the grounds - sprinklers, pvc lines, valves, and timers, etc.
• Check equipment for oil, gas, water, and safe operating condition on a daily basis.
• Attend inservice meetings.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
