Job summary

ED Business Solutions in Bartlett, IL is seeking a Grounds Maintenance worker to cut grass, trim weeds, and clear brush at city locations. You will operate weed-eaters, edgers, and backpack blowers across multiple sites and collect leaves during leaf season. Normal hours are 7:00 a.m.

– 4:00 p.m., with summer hours of 6:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Overtime and some Saturdays/holidays may be required during leaf season.

Qualifications

• Physically able to perform unskilled manual labor.
• Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
• Willingness to work extended hours, weekends and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Grounds Maintenance Division in cutting grass and picking up litter.
• Assist the Solid Waste Division in collecting loose leaves during leaf season.
• Use various hand tools to dig, sweep, and spread materials.
• Load and unload materials, supplies, tools, and equipment daily.
• Extensive walking is required to pick up litter.
