Job summary

MetroLagoons in Florida seeks a Grounds Supervisor to lead the outdoor maintenance team across lagoon facilities. You’ll direct cleaning of beaches, common areas, and buildings, while hands-on work ensures daily operations stay organized and efficient.

The role requires supervisory experience, strong leadership, and the ability to work in all weather, with lifting up to 50 pounds and weekend availability. CPR/First Aid readiness is encouraged as part of safety culture.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required or pursuing BA/degree preferred.
• Minimum one year supervisory experience.
• Minimum two years’ experience in a maintenance/custodial position.
• Willingness to obtain CPR, First Aid & AED certifications.
• Must be available to work mornings, nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Strong leadership, organization and communication skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead the grounds team performing cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash, pressure washing, and restroom cleaning.
• Create schedules, prepares, and reviews reports, checklists, and other paperwork.
• Collaborate with vendors for routine grounds cleaning.
• Coach staff with positive reinforcement and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Manage daily budget hours and work with leadership on changes.
• Assist staff with lifting and storing equipment for events.
• Maintain maintenance procedures and preventative maintenance logs.
• Maintain monthly inventory of supplies and order grounds materials.
• Provide excellent customer service and monitor guest feedback.
• Handle other duties as required.
