Job summary

Public Outreach is seeking dynamic face-to-face fundraisers in the San Diego area. You’ll explain nonprofit campaigns, engage the public, and ask for recurring monthly donations. Paid training, flexible schedules, and a path to leadership roles are available.

This is an outdoor, in-the-field role that emphasizes meeting people and making a social impact. Starting wage is $20/hour with performance-based bonuses; full-time and part-time opportunities exist, plus benefits after 3 months for

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• No fundraising experience required; paid training provided.
• Able to travel within the greater San Diego area and work outdoors as needed.

Responsibilities

• Initiate conversations with strangers and learn about the nonprofit campaign.
• Explain complex issues in a clear, engaging way to build understanding.
• Ask for recurring monthly donations and document donor engagement.
• Work with a fundraising partner and team to meet goals.
• Receive regular coaching and feedback to improve performance.
• Maintain energy and professionalism during outreach in various locations.
• Attend training and stay aligned with campaign messaging.
• Support ongoing fundraising goals and job coaching.
