Job summary

Magnolia Forest Preschool is seeking part-time substitute teachers to learn and apply the Magnolia Method, a play-based forest school curriculum inspired by European forest schools. Substitute teachers promote holistic development and co-construct knowledge guiding each child’s cognitive progress.

Substitute teachers ensure safety, carry supplies, navigate uneven terrain, and work fully outdoors in rain or cold.

Qualifications

• No prior education or outdoor recreation experience required.

Responsibilities

• Substitute teachers ensure student safety and follow site director's risk assessments.
• Carry supplies in and out of the forest and assist as needed.
• Dress to stay warm and dry; the work is 100% outdoors in all weather.
