Job summary

Blue Sky Fund in Richmond, VA, seeks part-time Educators to lead the Explorers program during the upcoming school year. Roles include preparing and delivering field trips, safety, and environmental education to 3rd–5th graders in the Richmond area.

Qualifications

• Two years of relevant work experience preferred.
• Academic training in education, recreation, natural resources, environmental science is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills and interest in environmental and experiential education.

Responsibilities

• Lead Educators orientation and safety procedures.
• Attend training sessions and field trips (own transportation required).
• Study and practice field trip material.
• Lead groups of upper elementary students (grades 3–5) on field trips.
• Partake in outdoor activities during field trips.
• Represent the organization professionally with students.
