U.S. Army MWR at West Point invites applicants for a maintenance technician in the Army Community Recreation Division, stationed at West Point Parks and Picnic Areas.

The role operates a variety of vehicles and equipment, troubleshoots, performs repairs, and conducts grounds maintenance in outdoor settings year-round. The position requires physical effort, outdoor work in cold and heat, weekend or holiday shifts, and a valid state driver’s license.

Formación

• Experience operating equipment including snowcats, tractors and light vehicles.
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform routine repairs on combustion engines and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of grounds maintenance tasks (mowing, trimming, winterization).
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsabilidades

• Operate a variety of vehicles and equipment (snowplow trucks, ATVs, snowcats, mowing machines).
• Troubleshoot and coordinate maintenance and repairs of equipment and machines.
• Perform facility and grounds maintenance including winterization and landscaping.
• Respond to assigned tasks and perform other duties as needed.
