Job summary

Student Conservation Association (SCA) seeks individuals for a position supporting the Southeast Utah Group NPS education program and Needles district of Canyonlands National Park. The role involves assisting at the visitor center information desk and delivering education and interpretation duties across the park.

Responsibilities include teaching hands-on lessons, guiding Junior Ranger activities, planning logistics, and delivering engaging programs for area youth, with additional visitor

Qualifications

A state-issued Driver's License and be at least eighteen years of age.
A strong interest in teaching elementary-aged children and desire to explore careers with the National Park Service.
A personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

Teach standards-based lessons and manage students for safety in the outdoors.
Prepare and plan for instruction and support education program logistics.
Participate in activities to develop education skills and provide coaching sessions.
Contribute feedback to the program for continued success.
Occasionally present and develop extracurricular programming for area youth.
