Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Parks & Recreation Management or related field required or substitution with 4 years of related work experience.
  • Minimum two years of experience planning, coordinating, and leading outdoor recreation and environmental education programs.
  • Spanish/English bilingual is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and lead environmental education and outdoor recreation programs for participants of all ages.
  • Maintain trails, park grounds, ranger station and nature center facilities, and supervise volunteers.
  • Coordinate volunteer initiatives and organize special events and community outreach.
  • Promote environmental stewardship and safe, responsible park use to the public.
  • Represent the department at citywide events and partner meetings.
