The City of High Point is seeking a landfill attendant to perform routine unskilled work at the landfill site, assist customers, direct waste disposal, and keep the area safe and clean.

You will be the primary point of contact for the public, explaining disposal procedures and enforcing site rules. Work outdoors in varying weather under supervision, with requirements including a valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License required.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Directs and assists customers at the disposal site.
• Follows OSHA and City safety standards.

Responsabilités

• Provides courteous, face-to-face customer service at the landfill site.
• Directs customers to proper waste disposal areas.
• Inspects and ensures compliance with permitted waste guidelines.
• Directs traffic to maintain safe and efficient flow within the facility.
• Maintains cleanliness of disposal areas and surrounding grounds.
• Enforces site rules and educates customers on disposal procedures.
• Assists with supervising temporary workers and daily tasks.
• Gathers materials and assists with other duties as assigned.
• Works extended hours and in adverse weather or emergencies as needed.
