Zusammenfassung

The Student Conservation Association, in partnership with the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, seeks a Field Leader for the 2027 Pennsylvania Outdoor Corps season. You will train, supervise, and administer a 4-member crew across multiple state parks and sites in the Dubois region.

The role is a Full-Time contract position with a schedule that includes long outdoor days, mentorship of youth, project management, and coordination with partner agencies.

Qualifikationen

• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
• Must have the ability to legally work in the US.
• Must have a valid driver’s license for 3+ years and MVR that meets SCA standards.
• Must be able to meet SCA’s criminal background check standards.
• Minimum of 1 year of leadership, teaching, or supervisory experience.

Aufgaben

• Crew Supervision: Manage the overall flow of the day and keep crew members on task; conduct morning safety briefings and project debriefings; oversee training of members in conservation work.
• Mentoring and Coaching: Mentor personal and professional development; monitor crew dynamics; encourage participation in job shadows and networking.
• Project Management: Coordinate crew project schedule with agency partners; conduct pre-project site visits; monitor progress and report to partners; adapt to project timelines.
• Program Administration: Track expenses and receipts; complete hitch reports; manage attendance and timecards; coordinate logistics for overnights and trainings; manage the crew vehicle.
