Job summary

Block by Block is hiring a Cleaning Ambassador in Bethlehem, PA. The role focuses on street-level cleaning, engaging with the public, and maintaining a safe, friendly environment in assigned zones.

Responsibilities include litter removal, graffiti cleanup, weed pulling, and reporting tasks. Must be 18+, able to work outdoors in all weather, and communicate in English. Weekly pay, PTO, and free uniforms are provided.

Qualifications

• Must have a H.S. Diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to walk or traverse for an eight-hour shift with breaks.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all conditions and speak/read/write English.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a wide variety of cleaning tasks in the assigned zone with a positive demeanor.
• Acknowledge and engage pedestrians with greetings and provide directions or city information.
• Remove litter, graffiti, posters, and debris from streets, sidewalks, and alleys.
• Pull weeds at tree wells, cracks in sidewalks, and vacant lots.
• Damp-wipe and straighten outdoor surfaces like trash can lids and news boxes.
• Report safety issues and complete basic daily task reports in English.
