Bartlett Tree Experts in Charleston, SC is seeking an Arborist Ground Person to join a professional crew. This entry-level role offers hands-on training in tree and shrub care on residential and commercial properties and supports a safety-first culture.

Qualifications

• Interest in nature and outdoor work.
• Willingness to learn in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Prior tree care, landscaping, forestry, or horticulture experience is preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license.
• Degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture or related field is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Learn on-the-job to safely perform arboriculture tasks (pruning, rigging, cabling/bracing).
• Safely operate and maintain tools and equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts).
• Assist Arborist Climbers and Crew Leaders on ground and aloft.
• Follow safety rules and company safety policies.
