Job summary

OneSource Distributors in San Leandro, CA is seeking a dependable warehouse associate to support daily operations. You will load, unload, move, and stage materials, pick and pack orders, and prepare shipments.

This non-exempt role offers a night shift from 8:00 PM to 4:30 AM, competitive hourly pay, and strong benefits as part of the Sonepar group. You will work with Eclipse WMS, maintain safety standards, and contribute to a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED, or 2–4 years of related warehouse experience.
• Data-entry, reporting, and recordkeeping skills.
• Knowledge of safety practices and PPE; ability to wear PPE.
• Forklift operation certification after hire.
• Knowledge of cargo securement techniques (chains, straps, etc.).
• Strong mathematical skills for measurements and units; read invoices/packing slips.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and move materials to staging areas per sales tickets.
• Assemble materials per work orders and verbal instructions; pick and stage items.
• Collect and pick materials using the pick ticket; package for shipment.
• Wrap, label, and mark materials for easy identification and loading.
• Use Eclipse to confirm picking and staging and verify piece counts for drivers.
• Load materials onto vehicles and secure cargo; unload incoming shipments.
• Document shipments and inventory changes in Eclipse; maintain clean work areas.
• Operate required equipment and PPE, including forklifts and hoists.
• Count, weigh, or measure items and compare with records; inspect for damage.
• Perform regular inventory counts and communicate inventory levels.

What you will do:

• Load, unload, and move materials from storage to staging sites and/or designated areas per each sales ticket.
• Use work orders and verbal instructions to assemble materials and containers which need to be picked, moved, or staged.
• Collect and pick all materials included customer orders using the pick ticket.
• Package merchandise for shipment to ensure maximum efficiency and reduce damage during the shipping process.
• Properly wrap, label, and mark material for easy identification and loading.
• Use Eclipse to confirm picking and staging of materials, ensuring proper piece count for drivers and customers.
• Load materials onto vehicles and properly secure cargo.
• Unload incoming vehicles, prepare necessary receiving documents, and receive the materials.
• Document shipments and changes in inventory using Eclipse.
• Clean work areas, machines, and equipment on a routine basis.
• Safely operate all the necessary equipment in the work area. Operate industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
• Count, weigh or measure incoming or outgoing items to compare identifying information and variety against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records; examine incoming shipments for damage or shortages and correspond with purchasing .
• Perform regular counting of inventory, including running off wire and inspecting items for damage.
• Communicate when supply inventory levels are low.
• Other duties, as assigned .

What you will bring:

• Knowledge of automated or computerized system operation.
• High School diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D), or 2-4 years of related warehouse experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Data-entry, reporting, and recordkeeping skills.
• Knowledge of safety practices, and wears PPE as assigned.
• Ability to operate hand tools including wire cutting equipment.
• Ability to operate a forklift and other material handling equipment. Must be Forklift Operation Certified after hire.
• Knowledge of cargo securement techniques, chains, binders, straps, ropes, knots, plastic wrap, and cargo dunnage used.
• Strong mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, including fractions and decimals.
• Must be able to read and interpret invoices and packing slips.
• Strong communication skills. Able to present information to management, customers, vendors, employees, and the public.
• Problem-solving skills including collecting and presenting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions to solve practical problems where only limited information and standardization exists.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

• Warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
• Requires standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.
• Use of PPE as required.
• Mix of warehouse and office work environments
• Work with Shrink Wrap machine

This role is based in San Leandro, CA

Work hours:

8:00 PM – 4:30 AM

Salary Range:

• This is a non-exempt position and pays between $20.00 – $22.00 per hour. This salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, within California. The actual range of the role may differ based on the location of the role.
