Job summary

Sysco is seeking a Night Warehouse Supervisor for its Central California operation. The role oversees the shift, ensures proper manpower utilization, and enforces standard operating procedures in a safe, productive manner.

• 1-year operations/warehouse experience in shipping and receiving perishable products, or a combination of education and industry experience.
• Ability to supervise, motivate and train hourly employees.
• Able to solve problems independently and effectively articulate and communicate information.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily processes on the dock and in coolers.
• Review, coach, and develop the outbound associates.
• Monitor work, adherence to policy and safety requirements.
• Issue discipline when necessary.
• Interpret company policies for employees, enforce safety and security regulations, and hold daily pre-shift meetings.
• Manage labor hours and consumable supplies within budget.
• Prepare work schedules.
• Perform substitutions of items not available for selection.
• Communicate to sales, purchasing, and inventory control.
• Spot check orders for accuracy and quality.
• Pulling critical care orders or double-checking them for quality and accuracy.
• Inspect material handling equipment daily for safe operations and coordinate required repairs with maintenance.
