Job summary

TimberTech, part of the James Hardie Building Products family, seeks a Shipping Supervisor for our Wilmington, Ohio facility. You will lead ~23 shipping staff, oversee daily operations, and foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement across outbound logistics.

You’ll coordinate shipments across multiple modes and partner with Production, Customer Service, Transportation, and Receiving to sustain high service levels.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; related degree preferred.
• 2+ years supervisory experience in manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain.
• Experience leading hourly teams in fast-paced operations.
• Proven ability to improve performance and maintain teamwork.
• Strong safety mindset and compliance with workplace standards.
• Knowledge of shipping, inventory control, 3PL, and distribution processes.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel; ERP knowledge a plus.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to support a 24-hour, 3-shift operation with daytime schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop shipping operators and clerks.
• Ensure safety, accuracy and on-time shipments.
• Oversee daily shipping operations.
• Coordinate outbound shipments by flatbeds, vans, railcars and export containers.
• Maintain inventory accuracy via cycle counts and FIFO.
• Partner with Production, Customer Service, Transportation and Receiving to support service and performance.
• Support a multi-shift operation with floor presence.
