Job summary

WebstaurantStore is hiring a Short-Term Outbound Material Handler for a 6-month assignment at our Cumberland, MD distribution center on the 3rd shift. The role may extend based on business needs and performance.

Responsibilities include using handheld scanners and ERP to pick, pack, and ship orders, operate forklifts, and maintain safety standards while meeting daily targets.

Qualifications

Experience in a distribution environment is preferred but not required.
Ability to operate warehouse equipment and use scanning devices.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to meet daily/shift deadlines with accuracy and safety.

Responsibilities

Retrieve items from racking using handheld devices and ERP.
Sort, consolidate, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
Pack products securely in SPS system and ensure accuracy.
Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment following safety protocols.

Job Summary

Earn a $3.00/hour bonus for all hours worked. Bonus is paid at the end of the contract and requires full contract completion to qualify.

We are currently seeking Short-Term Outbound Material Handlers (6 months) for our 3rd shift at our distribution center in Cumberland, MD. This is a temporary assignment with the potential for contract extension based on business needs and performance review.

Responsibilities

Retrieve items from racking accurately and efficiently, using our handheld scanning devices and ERP system, completed on foot or using forklift equipment
Sort and consolidate picked items using handheld scanning devices, preparing customer orders for shipment processing
Pack products accurately and securely using our internal SPS system, focusing on providing an excellent customer experience
Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, and computers, following all established protocols and promoting safe working standards
Meet all expected performance standards regarding efficiency, accuracy and quality of work
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety guidelines and reporting any hazards to the appropriate leadership.
Work closely with team members and leadership to meet daily, weekly, and monthly departmental goals
Abide by all company and warehouse policies
Flex into other positions and departments and undertake additional duties as necessary to support the overall operation

Physical Requirements

Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day.
Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75lbs.

Experience

1 year+ of relevant experience in a distribution environment preferred but not required.
