Best-One Tire & Service in Elizabethtown, KY is seeking an OTR Technician to service a range of off-the-road tires, from small equipment to quarry trucks. You will remove, install, inspect, and repair tires, and help maintain safe operation of heavy-duty service trucks.

Qualifications

• OTR/Industrial/Farm tire experience required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
• DOT medical certificate if applicable.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced customer service environment.
• Team player and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Remove, install, and repair a wide variety of off-the-road tires from small equipment to large quarry trucks.
• Safely separate and reassemble tires onto wheels with specialized equipment.
• Evaluate tire and rim conditions to determine repair vs. replacement.
• Provide fleet inspections and make tire recommendations at customer sites.
• Perform on-site emergency service to repair/replace OTR tires.
• Prepare on-site paperwork detailing services performed.
• Communicate fleet needs with Service Managers and Sales.
• Operate heavy-duty service trucks, hydraulic manipulators, and related tools.
• Follow safety standards and maintain company vehicles to DOT standards.

What You'll Do as a OTR Technician

• Remove, install, and perform repairs on a wide variety of off-the-road equipment tires, encompassing sizes from small lawn equipment to oversized rock quarry trucks.
• Safely separate and reassemble tires onto wheels, using specialized equipment.
• Evaluate tire and rim conditions to determine if repair or replacement is needed.
• Provide fleet inspections at customer locations to make tire recommendations to keep their equipment running in optimal condition.
• Perform Emergency On-Site Service to repair/replace OTR tires.
• Prepare paperwork on-site detailing what services were performed.
• Effectively communicate fleet needs with Service Managers and Sales.
• Operate heavy-duty service trucks and hydraulic manipulator hands.
• Operate and maintain hand, power, and pneumatic tools.
• Safely operate all shop and mobile tools and machinery in accordance with applicable safety standards.
• Maintain Company Vehicles to D.O.T. standard

What We're Looking For

• Must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
• Must have OTR, Industrial or Farm Tire experience
• Must have a valid driver’s license; driving record must meet company’s insurance requirements.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced customer service-oriented environment.
• Team Player: Works well as a member of a group.
• Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well.
• Must pass DOT medical certificate if applicable.
• Ability to perform all job functions that require lifting and or carrying single items weighing at least 50 lbs., as well as functions and activities such as pulling, pushing, bending, standing, lifting, reaching, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
