Job summary

Carpenter Co. is seeking an OTR Truck Driver to join our Russellville, KY division.

The role involves delivering materials and services according to customer requirements, with overnight trips averaging two nights per week, and duties that ensure compliance with DOT rules and safe vehicle operation. The ideal candidate holds a valid CDL, has at least 1 year of OTR experience, and can work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience driving a commercial vehicle over the road.
• Valid CDL driver's license.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Willing to overnight on average two nights per week.
• Able to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays, and call-in with short notice.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Receive and understand instructions from Dispatcher, Shipping Supervisor, and external customers.
• Maintain the highest respect for the customer and meet their needs.
• Communicate and relay information to others.
• Operate and maintain a clean and serviceable vehicle within company guidelines.
• Follow billing and manifest paperwork procedures.
• Transport and deliver materials and services per customer requirements.
• Know and comply with all DOT rules and regulations governing the operation of tractor-trailers and logs.
• Report conditions that may affect truck operations.
